About
Laughter may not be your first thought when you think about ancient Romans. Dr. Christopher Bungard, Associate Professor of Classical Studies at Butler University, has focused his work on humor in the ancient world, focusing particularly on the comic plays of Plautus in recent years. He is particularly interested in the way that identities in these plays are constructed and manipulated, particularly by clever slaves.
