About

Welcome to the selected works of Madelyn Mays. I am a student at Butler University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with minors in Religious Studies and Chemistry. I began my college career at Butler as Pre-Pharmacy and completed one semester as a Doctor of Pharmacy candidate before jumping ship to English. I am currently interested in attending Graduate School to pursue a Master of Arts Degree in English. I am most intrigued by the intersections of Literature, Poetry, Religion, Women's Studies, Politics, and Social Justice. I enjoy examining how these topics impact one another, as well as, the world around us. Although I have merged onto a new life path, I still enjoy studying and writing about science and healthcare, which is why I continued to complete the Chemistry Minor. I have written for and peer-reviewed a student-run editorial journal here at Butler called BU Well in which I recently published my first article on the importance of pediatric pharmacy. I aspire to be a writer, and I plan to continue utilizing my knowledge of science, healthcare, religions, and literature in my future studies and career.
