From 1988-2018 I managed the 100,000 specimen Friesner Herbarium, a collection of pressed and dried plant specimens that serve as a reference for study of the Indiana flora (https://herbarium.butler.edu/). My current research interests include the historical and current flora of Central Indiana, especially Indianapolis, restoration and conservation biology.
